The title “Lal Salaam” suggests a theme of revolution or rebellion, hinting at the intense and politically charged narrative that the movie may explore. With Aishwarya Rajinikanth at the helm, viewers can expect a unique and thought-provoking take on the genre
The movie is based on a story about cricket, religion, and how villagers politicize a popular sport. In a small village, Thiru and Moideen bhai’s son Shamsuddin were always at odds. This rivalry seeped into their cricket games too. Moideen bhai started a team called Three Star, where both Thiru and Shamsu played together. But some folks didn’t like Thiru’s success and made him leave the team.
Thiru didn’t give up. He started his own team called MCC. Now, matches between Three Star and MCC were not just about cricket. They became symbols of Hindu-Muslim divide in the village. People started calling these matches “India vs Pakistan.”
The village was once peaceful, but now it was split. Hindus supported Three Star, while Muslims cheered for MCC. It wasn’t just about cricket anymore; it was about identity and pride.
Thiru and Shamsu’s rivalry intensified. Each match felt like a battle between two nations. But amidst the fierce competition, there was also a longing for unity. Deep down, everyone knew that they were all just villagers, no matter their religion.
The matches became more than just sport; they became a reflection of the village’s divided soul. People hoped for a time when cricket would only be about the game, not about religion or rivalry.
Despite the tensions, cricket continued to bring the village together in some ways. Families gathered around radios to listen to the matches. Children imitated their favorite players in the streets. Cricket remained a shared passion, even in times of conflict.
In the end, Thiru and Shamsu’s rivalry taught the village an important lesson. Cricket could unite as much as it could divide. And perhaps, one day, they would play not as Hindus or Muslims, but simply as teammates on the same side.

“The scenes between “Mohideen Bhai” and “Samsu” really shows like Superstar Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay combo as Father – Son. Vikranth – realistically 80% seems similar as Thalapathy Vijay. Go and watch #LalSalaam to know the depth of this tweet“
